Rev. Dr. Lee Strawhun

Senior Pastor

Rev. Dr. Lee Strawhun has thirty three years of ministry experience both as a lay person and ordained clergy person in Kentucky, Ohio and Missouri. Pastor Lee has served in church and community organizations involving: missions, youth, pastoral leadership, strategic planning, community service, chaplaincy, self care, practical theology, teaching, retreat ministry, staff and volunteer development. Additionally, Lee is an ICF certified coach.

Before coming to Westwood United Methodist Church, Lee was the Director of Alumni and Church Relations for Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY where he focused on international work of the seminary and funding for students. He holds a BS in Animal Science from the University of Missouri at Columbia. However, immediately following graduation God led Lee into a lifetime of dedicated ministry within the church. Pastor Lee finished his Masters of Divinity at Asbury Theological Seminary in 1983, specializing in Evangelism and Discipleship, and returned to earn his Doctorate in 1998 with a focus on Church Leadership and Preaching.

Married for over thirty-five years, Lee and Beth have a daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Jeremie, and son, David. Beth is a pediatric physical therapist and a passionate spiritual leader in her own right. They enjoy gathering with friends and traveling.

Pastor Lee is in his ninth year of service at Westwood UMC.

 Rev. Beth Anne Crego

Associate Pastor

 Pastor Beth Anne Crego calls Pensacola, Florida home. She is the youngest of three and her family all reside in the Pensacola area. She graduated from the University of Mobile with at Bachelor’s in Nursing and she worked as a cardiac nurse for close to 20 years. She traveled all over the United States as a nurse. While in Tallahassee, FL she answered God’s call to the mission field and moved to Edinburgh, Scotland to help start a church. While there she met (on a tour bus) and married her best friend, John who hails from Rochester, NY. After they were married, John was transferred back to Cincinnati with his job for P&G. While a member at Loveland UMC, she answered God’s call to go into full time ministry.

Pastor Beth Anne went to seminary at United Theological in Dayton, OH. She graduated in May 2013. While in seminary and after graduation she served at Brecon UMC as the associate pastor. She was commissioned to be a Provisional Elder in May 2014 and appointed to serve as pastor at North Bend UMC. She was Ordained as a Full Elder in 2016.

Pastor Beth Anne and John have 2 sons, Jack (8)  and Joshua (6) as well as 3 Goldendoodles, Rory, Paris and Stumpy.


 Sarah Beach

Director Of Children And Family Ministries To The Community And The Church.

Sarah Beach, a Cincinnati native, has served as WUMC’s Director of Children and Family Ministries for four years. She is passionate about serving others and reaching out to the community.

Sarah has 15 years of urban ministry experience in Lexington, KY and Lancaster City, PA. She graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary with a M.A. in Spiritual Formation, and has a B.A. in Youth Ministry from Asbury College. Sarah is passionate about children’s ministry because she accepted Christ as a six year old and was then discipled at her home church, Bethel UMC. She is thankful we get to partner together to share the love of Jesus with the kids in our neighborhood, so that we can experience the Kingdom of God here on earth!

Sarah is married to Scott and they are proud parents of Clifford and Lucy.  Sarah loves frolicking outside, playing board games, sharing a tasty meal with friends, devouring books, and rooting for her favorite sports teams: the Buckeyes, Xavier Musketeers, the Bengals,and the Oklahoma City Thunder. She enjoys attending Westwood Works and collaborating with local churches and civic groups.  She can’t wait to see what God is going to do in Westwood .

Dr. Mike Kelly

Director of Worship and Arts

Mike Kelly has been the Minister of Worship and Arts for Westwood United Methodist Church since March of 2005. He plans and coordinates the church’s worship services and arts events which provide opportunities for the people of Westwood  to worship and serve God as well as to transmit the spirit of Christ throughout our community.

Mike has a PhD in music theory from the University of Cincinnati, and has served as music director for two other United Methodist churches
in the Cincinnati area – Mt. Healthy and Monfort Heights. A native of Mt. Healthy, he lives in College Hill with his talented wife, Miriam; their children, Ben and Ava; their cat, Bruce; and their dog, Phoebe. A gifted artist and compassionate leader, Mike is one of those people you will want to meet at Westwood.


Bill Holland

Student Ministry Team Leader

Bill Holland is the only child of Jerry and Terri Holland of Binghamton, NY. He moved to Mesa, Arizona in the summer of 1990, and has lived there for the last 27 years. Bill worked as the Head Strength and Conditioning Director at Mesa Community College for the last 3 years while also serving as the President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Bill was also the Youth Pastor at Mountain Vista Bible Church in Mesa prior to coming to Westwood. Bill and his wife Kristina have been married for 17 years, and they have 2 children, Troy who is 10 and Bella who is 9. His passions outside of Ministry include Weight-training, healthy eating and spending time with his family.




Julie Fletcher

Office Manager

Julie is the smiling face you will see when you enter the door. Julie keeps us organized and makes the office a welcoming place. She is passionate about hospitality and prayer.  Julie was a missionary with Youth With a Mission and traveled the globe sharing about Jesus’ love.  She has a daughter Megan and two dogs.  For fun, Julie enjoys hosting international students, making stained glass and yoga.






 Allison Phillips

Preschool Director

Prior to stepping into the role of the WUMC Preschool Director, Allison Phillips was an Assistant Teacher, then Lead Teacher in the Butterfly room (3-4 year olds). Allison has a passion for working with children, and watching them thrive in a classroom environment. She and her husband are residents of Delhi and have 3 children, who along with Allison, are all graduates of WUMC Preschool.

Allison has her Bachelor’s degree from University of Cincinnati in Communication.
