Mark your calendars for Sunday, July 9th, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. That’s the date and time of our Annual Cincinnati Prayer Walk at Smale Park in downtown Cincinnati. We invite the whole family to come and walk the labyrinth along the riverfront. It is a time to pray for the City’s citizens, the employed and unemployed, visitors and a safe place to live and work for all.
The WUMC van will be available to bring people down and back. We are looking for additional drivers who can bring others as well. If you would be interested in helping carpool, please contact Ed Rave at email@example.com.
We are celebrating our 175th year in mission this year! Do you have stories, pictures from years gone by that our team can use to celebrate? Please drop pictures off to the church office with your name on them and date them and be sure to tell us the story behind the pictures. Save the date: Sunday, October 22, 2017, for one special worship service and brunch celebration for the whole church!
Westwood United Methodist Church is hosting a My Neighbor’s Place Benefit Concert on Sunday, June 11, 2017 beginning at 3:30 p.m. The concert will take place in the Sanctuary at Westwood United Methodist Church, 3460 Epworth Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45211 and is open to the public.
The concert will feature Elise Hyder, Rachel Lee and Mike Kelly and the WUMC Bell Ringers. A free-will offering will be taken during the interlude which will feature comments from Sarah Beach, My Neighbor’s Place Director. Proceeds will go toward the operation of My Neighbor’s Place.

The Prayer Ministry is proud to announce the Saturday Morning Christian Mindfulness Series in 2017. The first Saturday Morning of each Month, a different Christian Mindfulness Session will be presented. Each Session will last approximately one hour, and sessions are designed to help participants experience the presence of God, understand God’s Character and Teachings in such a way that empowers and encourages incorporating the Way of Christ into our Hearts and Daily Lives.
Join us for the first in the series “Reflecting On God’s Glory and Our Identity in Christ” on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. in the Faber Room, located off the Sanctuary.
The Men’s Prayer Breakfast Group will meet this Saturday, November 19th in Epworth Hall. Breakfast of coffee and donuts will be served beginning at 7:30 a.m. with the study beginning at 8:00 a.m. The group will continue their study of the book “The Man in the Mirror”. Chapter two will be the focus this Saturday with Ed Rave leading with a PowerPoint presentation.
