On Saturday, November 8th you have a grand opportunity to share what God is laying on your heart for Westwood UMC and the future. We will be hosting the Missional Church Consultation Team who are looking for our stories, dreams interpretations of our future and what God has in store.
From your thoughts and prayers will come the prescriptions, the direction that will set our course for the coming months and years. So save the date, make your calendar open and marked for the gathering of everyone from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Our 5th Annual Cincinnati Prayer Walk will be held on Sunday, July 21 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Smale Park. We will walk through the labyrinth and/or along the riverfront and have prayer guides that will be available which target issues and people groups to pray for the city.
Parking garage is across the street and families are welcome. We will even have cold bottles of water! If you would like to carpool, meet in the church parking lot to LEAVE at 5:30 p.m. If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Kids’ Music Camp is coming to Westwood United Methodist Church and will run from July 29 to August 2 with a celebration in the sanctuary on August 4. Children age 4 through the sixth grade are invited to attend. Music Camp will begin at 1:00 p.m. each day and finish at 4:00 p.m. Anyone who can help can mark the Connection Card at Sunday worship or contact the church office at 513.661.3139.

Dayton Mission #1 will be Tuesday, July 23. We will meet at 8:15 a.m., leaving at 8:30 a.m. from the church parking lot and travel to our meeting site. Each of us will need to wear a Disaster Relief t-shirt supplied by the Miami Valley District. This identifies us as an affiliated volunteer group with the purpose of assisting with the recovery effort. Please pack your own lunch and water (we will take a cooler). Cincinnati’s Longest Ice Cream Sundae will be on Saturday, August 10th. We are wanting to create community as a way to build relationships with our neighbors, as well as celebrate the wrap of summer for families. Jack Crego, a fifth grade student, developed this project for the See All the People mini grant as WUMC, where he was awarded $1000.
With you by our side at this upcoming event we are sure to achieve this delicious goal! The Ice Cream Sundae will be in front of Epworth Ave. wrapping around the church stretching 1.5 blocks.
