1st Annual Westwood Road to Bethlehem Challenge
Thanksgiving to New Year’s…. it’s a weight gain nightmare, but it doesn’t have to be!
OUR CHALLENGE TO YOU: Stay fit and motivated during the calorie-filled holiday season by pledging to run, walk, bike or swim at least one mile every day, from Thanksgiving until ChristmasDay.
To Sign-up: contact bethanne@
To Pay: stop by the office or drop the $ in the offering (re:Road to Bethlehem)
We got the idea from The Holiday Mile ® people and decided it would be a fun way to get fit during the winter as well as raise funds for our upcoming remodel programs.
Pledge to run, walk or bike at least one consecutive mile every day, from Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 23, 2017 through Christmas Day, December 25, 2017. You’ll find that once you get started, there will be days when you want to go farther—and then there will be days when one mile is enough (or more than enough).
From the Holiday Mile people… “Be smart: pledge to run/walk and you’ll emerge from the holiday season unscathed, and maybe even fitter than you were before.”
Anywhere you want to walk/run. You can run indoors on a treadmill or outdoors. It doesn’t matter where your Mile takes you: you just have to run/walk for 1 milestraight and check in each day.
** The weather outside can be frightful… but the church has a path created for you to walk inside. So there’s a great way to get your exercise even when the weather is against you!**
Part of a Sunday school class, small group or other group… band together to join this challenge and challenge another group to compete with you… or against you 🙂
We will be creating a board so that you can track your progress. As well as lots of other fun signs and helps.
