A Message From The Prayer Administration Team

The Prayer Administration Team is in the process of setting up another Breakthrough Prayer Retreat for next year.  We would like as much input as possible from the congregation on what kind of retreat would be the most helpful and inspiring.  We have created a survey to gather information.  If  you are interested, please fill out a survey online at found .  Surveys can also be found at our kiosk and we will be distributing them in the gym between services.  Your opinions matter!

The Prayer Administration Team; meeting has been changed to October 28th at 12:15 p.m. in the Parlor.

Upward Basketball is Returning to Westwood UMC!

We are looking for volunteers to help coach and referee.  The great thing about coaching Upward Basketball is that you don’t have to be a basketball expert or know a lot about basketball to coach.  Each coach and referee is provided with a coaches manual that scripts everything you need to know right down to making practice plans and providing drills to teach the participants.  All you have to do is want to help kids grow and learn more about Jesus and basketball.

If interested please contact Mark Rave at 513.439.4372 or email at mark.rave.mr@gmail.com or Cheryl Wood, Children’s Ministry Team Leader at cheryl@westwoodunitedmethodist.org.

Christian Mindfulness Scheduled for October 6th

Christian Mindfulness is scheduled for Saturday, October 6, 2018, 9 a.m. in the Faber Room (Off the Sanctuary).

The Seasons are changing and what better way to begin this Fall Season, than to spend time in quiet reflection with the Lord.  Join us for our October Christian Mindfulness Session where we will be focusing on “Slowing Down with Christ.”

When we pause and spend random timelessness with God, our minds and hearts are quieted from the anxiousness of the world and we are reminded of where our protection, blessings, and love come from.  We remember who we are, and to whom we belong.  Christian Mindfulness…sitting in God’s Presence in a way that empowers the soul.

Contact: Lori Schulte at childofthevine@gmail.com for more information.

Feel free to bring a friend!
