Sunday, August 25th, bring your kids backpack and your own if you are headed back to school, and we will have a time during the service where we will bless them for the new school year.
Also, we will be gifting our incoming Kindergartners and third graders with Bibles. Please let us know by Sunday, August 18th if your Kindergartner and/or third grader would like to receive a Bible. For more information please contact the church office at 513.661.3139 or sign up on the Connection Card on Sunday.
A big thank you to all the volunteers and staff who dedicated their energy and time to help make Cincinnati’s Longest Ice Cream Sundae event a spectacular success. It couldn’t have happened without you!
Wrap up summer by helping to construct an ice cream sundae that’s 1.5 blocks long!
Come on Saturday, August 10 at 5:30 pm to enjoy more than 700 feet of ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, cherries and sprinkles that has been a year in the planning! The ice cream build is set to begin right at 5:45 pm.
Fifth grader Jack Crego won Westwood United Methodist Church’s challenge to create a way to help members of the local community to meet each other and develop relationships.
The event is being funded by a mini grant inspired by the Discipleship Ministries of The United Methodist Church’s #SeeAllThePeople project, with other contributions from Kroger and Home Depot.
Construction supplies will be donated to Habitat for Humanity after the event.
You can help make Jack’s delicious dream a reality! Bring your family, friends and camera to make lasting memories and meet new friends.
The ice cream event and sampling is free and open to the public.
Clean-up and tear-down volunteers also welcome. For more volunteer information, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
The event is being held during Westwood Second Saturday Splash block party, and we will build the ice cream sundae at 3460 Epworth Ave.
Please join us on Thursday, August 8 at 10:00 a.m. at My Neighbor’s Place to pray for our surrounding neighborhood. We will be walking and/or driving around praying for businesses, churches, residents and current issues/concerns. Join us for this inspirational and powerful time of prayer. We have seen exciting answers to our prayers! If you have any questions, email email@example.com.
Join our group of volunteers on Tuesday, August 6 at 7:00 p.m. We will eat with the residents and people from the community and provide/serve dessert for the group of about 100-120. A carpool leaves the church parking lot at 6:15 p.m. If you are interested in attending, please indicate this on the Connection Card. If any questions, contact Beth Strawhun at firstname.lastname@example.org.
