Ms. Rachel Lee Concert this Friday, August 18th

Come see Ms. Rachel Lee in concert this Friday, August 18, 2017, at Westwood United Methodist Church beginning at 6:30 p.m. The concert performance will take place in the sanctuary.

Proceeds from a free will offering will go toward’s Rachel’s pursuit of her master’s degree in music at the University of Cincinnati. All are invited to attend this very special event.

Westwood Block Party is October 21 – Looking for Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers to help man game booths, work in our hospitatality booths, and food tent for the Block Party happening on October 21st from noon until four. We need teams for both set-up (9am) and breakdown (4pm).

IHN Coming to WUMC August 20th – August 27

Interfaith Hospitality Network (IHN) guests will be coming to Westwood United Methodist Church the week of August 20th.  It is a great opportunity to show Christian love to people experiencing very difficult, stressful times of homelessness.  Volunteers are needed for evening and overnight hosting.

Also on Sunday, August 20th at 12:15 p.m. Epworth Hall must be changed over from a worship area to a living area and bedrooms for the IHN families.  Please contact the church office at 513.661.3139 with questions or to volunteer.

Men’s Prayer Retreat “Drawing Closer to God” – September 15 & 16, 2017

There will be a men’s prayer retreat on September 15 & 16, 2017 entitled, “Drawing Closer to God”. The retreat on September 15th will take place at the church from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. This will be a time of worship and prayer. The men will then be traveling to a cabin in Indiana on September 16th for an all-day retreat. We will meet at the church at 8:00 a.m. with an expected return time of 8:00 p.m.

Lunch will be provided by all the participants with the group dining out on the return back home. All the men are asked to provide snacks to be shared by all during the retreat.

Cost to attend the retreat will be $15 to pay for the cabin rental.

Participants should bring with them a pen, notebook, Bible, comfortable clothes and a portable chair. There will be more information regarding food assignment in the near future.
