This year we are having a free Christmas toy shop on Monday, December 9th from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon, for neighbors to pick out Christmas toys for their children. We need toys for boys and girls ages infants to 12. Sport balls, craft kits, African-American dolls and games are often popular choices.
We are also in need of warm accessories (gloves/hats/scarves) for boys, girls and men. You can drop these items during the week at the church office and on Sunday, they can be left in the bin (labeled “My Neighbor’s Place Christmas toys”) in Eckel Hall.
Breakfast in Bethlehem is scheduled for Saturday, December 7th, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon. This day is filled with lots of fun for all ages. Contact Leslie Rich at email@example.com to help. We have a great list of helpers and some great cooks and crafters.
We also have our box out for Secret Santa donations (items kids can purchase for change to give to their parents) so any little items you would like to donate bring to the office, but we need some folks for hospitality, set up and clean up, and we also need wrapping paper.
Please join us on Thursday, November 14th at 10:00 a.m. at My Neighbor’s Placeto pray for our surrounding neighborhood. We will be walking and/or driving around praying for businesses, churches, residents and current issues/concerns.
Join us for this inspirational and powerful time of prayer. We have seen exciting answers to our prayers! If you have any questions, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Join our group of volunteers on Tuesday, November 5th at 7:00 p.m. We will eat with the residents and people from the community and provide/serve dessert for the group of about 100-120. A carpool leaves the church parking lot at 6:15 p.m.
If you are interested in attending or have any questions please contact Beth Strawhun at email@example.com.
